Estonian language

Pursuant to the decree of the Chancellor of the Ministry of Education and Research of 26.09.2016 No.1.1-3/16/183, the NGO Integratsiooni Ühiskondlikule Algatuskeskus has been issued a licence to conduct in-service training in preparation for the Estonian language level examination.

ESTISH LANGUAGE LEARNING PROGRAMMES FOR NON-GENERIAN LANGUAGE LEARNERS

Group: foreign languages and cultures

Basis for the preparation of the syllabus: European Framework for Language Learning.

Total course content and structure:

Three different levels (A2,B1,B2).

By the end of each course, the learner will have reached the language level – A2 or B1,B2 – corresponding to the language proficiency levels of the European Framework of Reference for Languages, and will be able to express him/herself in both written and spoken language.

One lesson lasts 45 minutes. One course (contact teaching) will be based on the training programme plus ongoing independent work for homework.

Target group and conditions for enrolment.

The Estonian language courses are designed for native speakers of Russian who wish to start learning or develop their language skills in the language.

Admission is on the basis of applications. Those registering for the course will be interviewed and, if necessary, tested.

Learning environment.

The training activities will take place in premises suitable for the purpose and meeting the health and safety requirements at Vilisuu 7, Tallinn, 2nd floor. There are three classrooms with the necessary modern technical equipment (projectors, laptop, video and audio equipment, reproduction machine) for adult training. The classrooms are equipped with comfortable desks and chairs, which can be rearranged according to the needs of the training, and three staff offices.

The premises, with a total surface area of 136 m2 are located at Vilisuu 7, Tallinn, 2nd floor. The size of the classroom is chosen according to the size of the group. The size of the study group can be 8-12 people.

All classrooms have free wireless internet access.

Learning methods.

Lectures, seminars, group work, tests, written and oral assignments, presentations, role plays. Attention will be paid to the development of reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. Practical exercises will be based on the day-to-day needs of the organisation. Grammar acquisition is mainly lexical (words are learnt in compounds, expressions).

Conditions and documents to be issued.

1) A certificate of attendance or of completion of continuing training is issued to a person if the learning outcomes required for partial completion have not been met. In order to obtain the certificate, the work carried out is assessed on a rolling basis during the period of study. The learner must attend at least 60% of the training hours, complete the homework on an ongoing basis and take part in the control tests during the learning period.

2) To obtain the certificate, the work carried out is assessed on a rolling basis during the period of study and in the mock examination. The certificate is a document certifying the completion of the continuing training and is issued to the learner on completion of the assessment of the work in progress, attendance of at least 70% of the lessons, completion of the homework in progress, completion of the control tests and passing the mock examination (with a score of at least 60%) at the instructor’s premises.

Description of the qualification, study or work experience of the trainer, ensuring the competence of the trainer..

Trainers have a higher education, long experience in teaching Estonian and preparing for examinations. The teachers design the training programme, select the teaching materials and the teaching methodology on the basis of the curriculum and the needs and characteristics of the individual learners.

Outputs:

By the end of the training, the learner will:

    1. understands Estonian phrases and everyday expressions related to areas of importance to him/her (can introduce himself/herself and use very simple greetings and goodbyes, information about him/herself and family, shopping, home, work);
    2. Can cope with simple everyday situations requiring direct and simple communication on familiar topics when spoken slowly and clearly;
    3. can use simple phrases and sentences to describe his/her family, other people and living conditions and to express his/her needs;
    4. can say what he likes and what he doesn’t like;
    5. can find information in simple everyday texts (advertisements, job offers, brochures, menus, timetables).

Objective: By the end of the training, the trainee will be motivated and have the necessary language skills to pass the Estonian language exam at level A2.

The total duration of the course is 220 hours, including. The total number of hours for a beginner level learner is 220 hours.

3.Content of the curriculum: 160 hours of language learning.

A2 Primary language skills: 160 hours in total.

1) Introduction: (greetings, polite expressions) Introduction and familiarisation (personal pronouns). Origin, nationality, languages, citizenship (interrogatives, present). Contact details (adjectives). Family status and family members, relatives and friends (phonetics, pronunciation) (occupation, age, appearance, clothes, colours, character) (gender differences).

2) Everyday life, home and place of residence: Place of residence (location, transport, district), (singular distinctive). House, purpose of the premises (staggered). Apartment (rent, taxes, prices of services, amenities), (participles). Furniture, household appliances, household utensils (subjunctive). Inviting guests, receiving guests, greetings, congratulations (subjunctive). Homework (short form).

3.Entry requirements:.

At least A2 level in Estonian. Persons who have completed A2 level training or passed the A2 level examination (A2 level certificate passed by Innoves SA), or whose language proficiency corresponds to A2 level and who wish to continue their Estonian language studies in order to pass the B1 level examination. The level will be checked by an oral interview with the training company and by a written test in Estonian.

4.Total duration of the course:

The total duration of the language course at level B1 is 260 hours, including. The total number of hours for the language learner is 260 hours, including 180 hours of classroom work and 80 hours of independent work.

1. Õpiväljundid:

Koolituse lõpuks õppija:

  1. mõistab suhteliselt pika ja keeruka ühiskeelse jutu põhisisu;
  2. mõistab nii elavat kui salvestatud selgelt liigendatud juttu enamikul igapäevaelu, õppimise ja tööga seotud teemadel;
  3. suudab jälgida vestlust ja keerukama sisuga väitlust juhul, kui teema on tuttav ja vestluse suunda toetavad selged märksõnad;
  4. saab aru üldhuvitavate, regulaarselt korduvate teemade üksikasjadest (uudised, intervjuud, filmid, tuttavama ainestiku loengud);
  5. saab aru vestluse põhisisust, kõneleja seisukohtadest, kavatsustest ning vestluse formaalsusastmest;
  6. oskab kriitiliselt kuulata, teha järeldusi ja selgitada oma vaatenurki, kaaluda kõnealuste seisukohtade tugevaid ja nõrku külgi.

2.Eesmärk: koolituse lõpuks on koolitatav motiveeritud ja omab vajalikku keeleoskust eesti keele eksami tasemel B2 sooritamiseks.

3.Õpingute alustamise tingimused:

Eesti keele oskus vähemalt B1-tasemel. Isikud, kes on läbinud B1-taseme koolituse või sooritanud B1-taseme eksami (SA Innoves sooritatud B1- taseme tunnistus), või kelle keeleoskus vastab B1-tasemele ja kes soovivad jätkata eesti keele õpinguid B2-taseme eksami sooritamiseks. Tasemele vastavust kontrollitakse koolitusfirma suulisel vestlusel ja eesti keele kirjaliku testi tegemisega.

4.Õppe kogumaht:

Edasijõudnu B2 tasemel keelekasutaja õppe kogumaht on 450 tundi, sh. auditoorne maht 250 tundi, iseseisva töö osakaal 200 tundi.

 1) Isikututvustus: Rollid ja suhted perekonnas. Peretraditsioonid, kodukultuur. Iseseisev töö hõlmab: materjali loenguvälise osa omandamist, kodutööd vastavalt õppejõu poolt antud ülesannetele, ettevalmistust auditoorseks tööks.

Childcare, Nanny – level 4

I The aim of the adult education course is to enable the development of an individual with the knowledge, skills, abilities, necessary qualifications and social readiness for work. The participant of the course acquires professional knowledge at the basic level in the specialty “Nanny”, which will allow him to enter the labor market and get a job in various companies or work as an individual entrepreneur after the course. The training week of the course of the specialty “Nanny” includes theoretical and practical training.

The requirements of the professional standard “Nanny” were taken into account when creating the course. – Curriculum of the specialty “Nanny” duration: 160 theory

and 80 practice. amount of professional language:

The curriculum is designed for further adult education.

After passing the course it is necessary to: pass the exam

After completing the course, a certificate of professional knowledge is issued.

II Prerequisites for participation in the training – necessary competencies and requirements to complete the training:

  • a person with at least a basic education can start a nanny program.
  • training is considered to be completed if the learning outcomes presented in the curriculum have been achieved, the final examination in the specialty has been passed with a positive result and the age at the time of graduation is at least 18 years.

III Competencies to be developed

The objective of the course is to prepare an employee who:

  • provides a physically and psychologically safe environment for the child;
  • follows the child’s daily schedule, as determined by the parent, taking into account the child’s age-related needs;
  • supports the child’s development through daily activities;
  • monitors the child’s personal hygiene, guides the child in its fulfillment and helps when necessary;
  • monitors the child’s nutrition, helps the child eat, and prepares meals if necessary;
  • monitors the child’s health, promotes health, and cares for a sick child if necessary;
  • communicates with the child’s family and develops the child’s social contacts;
  • values his/her profession and develops his/her professional skills;
  • is able to plan, execute, evaluate and develop his/her work;
  • complies with the requirements of professional ethics and confidentiality;
  • can independently apply his/her professional knowledge and skills in various work situations;
  • oriented to achieve quality results of learning and work;
  • is responsible for the safety of the child, self and coworkers, handles dangerous situations;
  • works to preserve health and the environment;
  • can make choices based on ethics and the law;
  • can communicate, obtain and analyze information;
  • has knowledge of labor law;
  • has a willingness for teamwork;

V Curriculum Structure

  • Curriculum of the specialty “Nanny” duration: 160 theory and 80 practice.

The duration of one academic week is a maximum of 40 hours, including both theoretical and practical work.

The curriculum is prepared in the form of modules that provide independent skills and knowledge as well as form relationships.

The module consists of subjects that form a coherent whole, which over the course of the learning period, depending on the age of the learner, increasingly deepens skills and knowledge;;

VI Description of the premises

The premises of the Training Center are located at the address: Tallinn,.Vilisuu 7, the Training Center has a separate entrance, a lobby, a checkroom, 2 toilets, a corridor, where there is also a receptionist’s room.

The training center also has a fire exit.

The training center is designed for classroom lectures.

The total area is 30m 2. In this room are arranged double desks. Also there is a place of the teacher with a table, chair, computer, projector, screen, blackboard.

Duration – 240 hours of classroom theoretical and practical work, 30 hours of independent work. Total 270 hours.
Cost – 2300 euros.

Trainee:
